Cornhole Tournament & Family Fun Day
MORRISTOWN, NJ – Cornhole enthusiasts, children, parents, and anyone looking for an afternoon of fall fun and festivities are invited to the Morris County Park Police PBA 264’s first annual Cornhole Tournament & Family Fun Day. Come to Lewis Morris County Park, in Morris Township, on Saturday, October 11, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Kids will be entertained for hours at Family Fun Day with an array of FREE activities including; face painting, jumping and tumbling in the bounce house, riding ponies, and touring the fire truck and police vehicles on display. Come hungry as delicious food and beer are available for purchase.

The Cornhole Tournament begins at 12 noon. Participants receive a FREE beer and mug, along with FREE entrance to Family Fun Day. They are also eligible to win a cash prize; first, second, and third place teams all take home money! The fee to participate is $50 per team of two. Officer Eleanor Russell of the Morris County Park Police stated, “We are honored to host an event where the public is invited for an afternoon full of FREE activities, as well as to support the Brody Hydock Foundation and the local PBA #264.” Officer Robert Hydock and his wife Nicole, of Morris Township, tragically lost their 14 month old son, Brody, in February 2014. Russell continues, “This event brings the public and local police forces together as a community to support the Brody Hydock Foundation, established by the parents, in honor of their child.” The focus of the Foundation is to assist families experiencing tragedy by offering financial assistance, such as medical expenses, funeral arrangements, and counseling, for example.
