A Miller's Halloween
Create corn husk dolls, take part in Halloween crafts, and try out old-time games at this FREE event. Visit the Copper Gristmill in Chester Township on Saturday, October 18, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to join in the festivities. Scarecrows in the Garden
Join in the fun on Sunday, October 19, and make a scarecrow to be ‘planted’ on the lawn. Take part in an apple tasting, watch an expert pumpkin carver, make an apple craft, and enjoy the sweetness of delicious local cider and donuts. This festive fall event takes place at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Preregistration is required, call 973.326.7603, or visit www.arboretumfriends.org.

Come to Fosterfields Living Historical Farm on Sunday, October 19 for a pumpkin making extravaganza. From 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. use natural plant materials from the farm to create a unique, decorative, Halloween pumpkin to take home. For more information, please call Fosterfields, 973.326.7645.
Trail Tales
This popular Halloween event is back once again for everyone to enjoy! Celebrate Halloween on a spooktacular storytelling walk at the Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center in Chatham Township, on Saturday, October 25. Hear silly, slightly spooky, nature-themed tales told by costumed storytellers along the decorated nighttime trails. Timeslots are available from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., small groups leave the Visitors Center every 15 minutes with a costumed guide. Space is limited, register early by calling the Great Swamp, 973.635.6629.
The Strange Fate of Antoine Le Blanc
Art imitates life as we look at the early 19th century Morristown murder trial of Antoine Le Blanc and the strange things that happened afterwards. Come to Historic Speedwell on Saturday, October 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and use primary sources and the novel Frankenstein to dissect this bizarre event in local history focusing on the American justice system and Gothic literature.
