Over 4,200 Toys Collected for Donations: The Timmy Albine’s Memorial Toy Drive
MORRIS TWP., NJ – The Morris County Park Police once again have led the most impressive effort of seeking donations and distributing toys for children of all ages in need for the holidays. Once known as “Saddle Up for Toys”, a program began in 2002 by Sgt. Timmy Albine, has grown into a massive annual donation program. This season, in memory of Sgt. Albine, the toy drive has been renamed the “Timmy Albine Memorial Toy Drive”. Now, in its tenth year, over 4,200 toys were collected and are now being distributed throughout Morris County and areas of New Jersey hit by Hurricane Sandy.

With the assistance of Morris County residents, Morris County Park Commission, the Republican National Headquarters, Morristown-Beard School, and Exxon’s Retired Executives program, the Park Police of the Morris County Park Commission successfully collected and donated the needed toys to make the holidays brighter.

With a generous hearts and helping hands, the Morris County Park Police exceeded their annual goal of reaching as many families as possible this holiday season. “It is a privilege and a joy to help make the holiday season brighter for children and families”, said program coordinator, Sgt. Gabe DiPietro, of the Morris County Park Police. Toys were donated to children affected by the disaster of Hurricane Sandy, and numerous charitable organizations within Morris County.

For more information or to donate, please contact Sgt. Gabe DiPietro at 973-326-7632.
